Dichroic means two colors. Dichroic glass is made by putting a layer of gold or silver between two layers of glass. The color changes when viewed from different angles. This gives the jewelry a more dynamic, reflective quality. "Blue/green dichroic" identifies the two colors.
24K Italian gold smalti is made by putting a very thin sheet of gold on glass and covering it with a second piece of paper thin clear glass. Gold smalti comes in a range of colors, including white gold, blue, pink, red and shades of gold. It also comes in multiple textures.
Italian mille fiore, a thousand flowers in Italian, are made in a variety of sizes. The ones I use are primarily 1/8-1/4". They are made in long glass rods by fusing very thin glass rods together into patterns and cut into small slices for mosaics. They are usually a floral design, but also come in geometric and abstract designs.
Pique assiette mosaics are made of broken dish shards.
Unless otherwise noted, chains and pendants are zinc alloy.
SS is stainless steel
SO is silver overlay
Jewelry mosaics are sealed with a crystal resin.
Some pendants have a flat surface. Others have a 3D quality due to the variation in height of the mosaic pieces.
